Audi Q3: Air Intake Grille Trim, Removing and Installing

Removing

- Remove the air intake grille. Refer to → Chapter "Air Intake Grille, Removing and Installing, Vehicles through MY 2014".

- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to → Chapter "Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing".

- If equipped, remove the parking aid sensor. Refer to → Electrical Equipment; Rep. Gr.94; Overview - Parking Aid.

- Release the tab -arrows- and remove the trim -1- forward.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the front bumper cover. Refer to → Chapter "Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing".

- Install air intake grille. Refer to → Chapter "Air Intake Grille, Removing and Installing, Vehicles through MY 2014".

Special tools and workshop equipment required

  • Hook Tool -T40207-

Removing

- Place the Hook Tool -T40207- in the opening -1- and pull the lower air intake grille-2- from the bumper cover -arrow-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing

- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to → Chapter "Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing".

- Disconnect the connector -4- from the parking aid sensor.

- Release the retainers -3--arrows-.

- Remove the air intake grille -1- from the bumper cover -2- forward.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

  • Removal Wedge -T40233-

Audi Q3. W00-10994

Removing

- Push the Removal Wedge -T40233- between the bumper cover -1- and the air intake grille -2-, as shown in the illustration.

- Release the air intake grille -arrow- and remove from the bumper cover.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
