Odors in Vehicles with A/C System
Odors from the A/C system (the heater) can come from various
sources. Only a portion of these odors come from the A/C unit
evaporator and can be corrected by cleaning the evaporator.
 Note

Note
There is also an evaporator installed in the heater on the
Audi Q3, but it does not have a function. If odors are
originating at the evaporator installed in the heater, clean the
heater (the evaporator) the same way as the Air Conditioning
(A/C) unit on vehicles with an A/C system.

 Note

Note
	- The odor can only be removed by cleaning with the Ultrasound
A/C Cleaner -VAS6189B- if it originates in the evaporator.
- Numerous procedures varying in their application and effect
are available on the market for cleaning the evaporator. Audi,
for example, has currently tested and approved cleaning the
evaporator using the Ultrasound A/C Cleaner -VAS6189B-.
Additional information for Audi tested and approved instruments
can be found, for example, in "Audi ServiceNet" (see Table).
- The procedures below show how to access the "Audi ServiceNet"
in Germany. In other countries, the "Cleaning the A/C system"
option can be found, for example, in the submenu "Original
Parts". For instructions on "Cleaning the A/C system", follow
the instructions in the "Audi ServiceNet".
