2 - Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp In Driver Exterior Rearview Mirror -K233-

• Removing and installing. Refer to → Chapter "Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp In Driver/Front Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirror -K233- / -K234-, Removing and Installing".

3 - Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp In Front Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirror -K234-

• Removing and installing. Refer to → Chapter "Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp In Driver/Front Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirror -K233- / -K234-, Removing and Installing".

4 - Connector

5 - Bolt

• 2.5 Nm

6 - Bolt

• 2.5 Nm

7 - Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769-

• Removing and installing. Refer to → Chapter "Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769-/ Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770-, Removing and Installing".

8 - Bolt

• 2.5 Nm

9 - Bolt

• 2.5 Nm

10 - Bolt

• 2.5 Nm

11 - Connector

• 2.5 Nm

13 - Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770-

• Removing and installing. Refer to → Chapter "Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769-/ Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770-, Removing and Installing".

Lane Change Assistance Button -E530-, Removing and Installing

Removing

- Remove the treble speaker trim. Refer to → Body Interior; Rep. Gr.70; Front Door Trim Panels; Treble Speaker Trim, Removing and Installing.

- Remove the button -2- from the catch in direction of -arrow-.

- Disconnect the connector -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the treble speaker trim. Refer to → Body Interior; Rep. Gr.70; Front Door Trim Panels; Treble Speaker Trim, Removing and Installing.

Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp In Driver/Front Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirror -K233- / -K234-, Removing and Installing

Removing

- Remove the mirror adjuster. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Exterior Mirror; Mirror Adjuster, Removing and Installing.

  Note

To protect the paint in the area around the mirror housing, tape it off with a soft cloth.

- Remove the screws -4- and -5-.

- Open the clips -2- and remove the exterior mirror housing -3- from the cover -1--arrows-.

- Remove the exterior mirror housing -1- far enough until the connector is visible.

- Disconnect the connector -2- on the front of the mirror adjustment unit bracket -3-.

  Note

Ignore -1, 4 and 5- and -arrow-.

- Pull the exterior mirror housing -2- upward and disconnect the connector -3-.

- Release the tabs in direction of -A arrows- and remove the warning lamp -1- for the lane change assistant from the housing -2- for the outside mirror in direction of -arrow B-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

  Note

If an LED is faulty, the entire lane change assistance warning lamp in the exterior rearview mirror must be replaced.

- Install the exterior rearview mirror housing. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Exterior Mirror; Mirror Housing, Removing and Installing.

- Install the mirror adjuster. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.66; Exterior Mirror; Mirror Adjuster, Removing and Installing.

Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769-/ Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770-, Removing and Installing

Removing

- Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.63; Rear Bumper; Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing.

- Disconnect the connector -2-.

- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

- Remove the lane change assist control module -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the rear bumper cover. Refer to → Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.63; Rear Bumper; Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing.

Calibrate the Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769-/ Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770- using the → Chapter "Lane Change Assistance, Calibrating".
